Broker's Comments

Boatshed Norfolk (www.boatshednorfolk.com) have a unique opportunity to offer this historic 1925 wooden trip vessel project to the market.
She is on the maritime and Historic ships register and is 100 years old next year. The vendor advises that it could be possible to gain funding given her historic registration to help refurbish and save this vessel upon application to the correct funding body.

She is a 1925 Wooden construction trip vessel measuring 20m by 4m and was a trip boat on the Norfolk Broads for many years. The boat has a lower saloon area with small galley/bar area and is fitted with many classic and traditional fittings including Whitestar Liverpool lights and other historic fixtures and fittings.

She has a large forward and large aft deck both with seating benches and the whole roof is decked out with seating for trip boat sight seeing with a large canopy frame over (I believe the canopy is available with the boat).

She has a classic wheelhouse design and a functional funnel. All her trip boat safety equipment is present. She last ran (commercially) about 12 years ago and was registered class 5 and 6.

She is heavy wood construction believed to be pitch pine on oak and was originally built for the Earl of Mount Edgecombe and is on the National Historic Ships register. She has been submerged and raised 4 times in her 99 year life and has loads of character and stories to tell.

She has a Gardner 6 cylinder diesel engine which looks magnificent and a full 240v generator system aboard.

The vendor advises that the superstructure and hull are all sound and that areas of the side decks and forward well deck need renovation / replacing as required.

She has a disabled access hoist to the upper deck and a fire water pumping system, several inverters and power points around the ship.

This boat, although in need of work, would make a fantastic commercial vessel proposition as a bar or restaurant perhaps with history and character or a possible house boat of with history. She is offered at a bargain base price in the hope that someone will have the vision and ability to save this impressive vessel.

Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
