Broker's Comments

The Achilles 24 is built predominantly of fiberglass with teak trim, the boats are known for their sound, strong but simple construction and perform well as small cruiser/racers.

I have not seen the boat out of the water therefore cannot comment on the condition of the hull. The topsides and deck appear in a reasonable state. Due to recent inactivity the boat would benefit from a thorough clean and some attention. This particular model has a single Perspex window either side, a design characteristic of later models.

Despite the size, these boats have raced in events like the AZAB (Azores and Back) and the OSTAR (Observer single handed trans-Atlantic) demonstrating their strength and sailing ability. Ideally suited for low input sailing this boat is more than capable of exploring the UK coastline and should bring a new owner plenty of enjoyment doing just that.

Please note, we have been instructed by the marina to sell this boat due to the absence of the owner. For this reason, details of the vessel may not be as comprehensive as usual. Upon completion of the sale, the boat will pass to the new owner free of all encumbrances. We will of course, endeavour to answer any queries to the best of our ability as per usual.

These boat details are subject to contract.
